It's an old post I know but the most meat I get is with a Savage combination 30/30 over 20 gauge with a fixed 2 power scope followed by a K92 Mauser with a 308 barrel and a 3-9 scope and my new toy is a Savage Axis 243 with a 3-9 power 50mm twilight scope hoping to get some coyotes with that one.
